As graduate assistant Amy Dellacroix is on her way to meet a friend after class, she's drugged and abducted in the university parking garage. Later, she learns he's a wealthy man who sets up hunting parties with a twist. They hunt naked women. Set in a controlled forest setting, Amy learns if she makes it to one of the safety boxes on the property she 'wins' and will be given a large sum of money. But if she loses, the men who've hunted her down are free to claim her sexually. Knowing she has no choice, and justifying her active participation by the money she could potentially net, she runs through the woods with winning on her mind.

Although this is listed as an erotic romance, it has that distinction rather dubiously. Technically the ending could be considered Happily Ever After, although the way the conclusion was reached was a little far fetched. Unwilling to give the story away, I'll only say that the man she chooses to associate with once Amy's returned home, and the way they quickly came together, did not suspend disbelief. It was almost as if the author had written an abduction story, was told there had to be a HEA at the end, and this brief conclusion was tacked on at the last minute. The rest of the story was rather well written, with a plot that contained just enough suspense to have me quickly turning pages. The ending just didn't do it for me, although because the rest of this short story was well written, I wouldn't mind reading other works by JW McKenna in the future.
