Farran is on the run from the Gineal and her father. While stocking shelves at her work place, Farran has a twilight zone moment. Everything Farran just experienced a few minutes ago repeats themselves. Farran knows this can't be good. Farran is right. She is attacked in the alley but escapes.

Kel Andrews is a Gineal troubleshooter. After the nightmarish ordeal with his kidnapping, Kel has been relieved of his duties for the time being. Kel hears a knock on the door. Farran needs Kel's help. Soon Kel and Farran find themselves running for their lives.

In the Darkest Night is book four of the Light Warriors series. Kel was first introduced in The Edge of Dawn, the third book. I have never read any of the prior books in this series. I had no problem jumping right into this story. The problem I had with this book wasn't the story line but the characters. I say this because I didn't really connect with the characters. So I felt like I was a spectator versus being part of the action and really getting into what was happening in the book. There was a lot of action to be had in this book. Though, this book was a miss for me this time, I am still a fan of Patti O'Shea.
