Haydee Miller is the owner of Mount Olympus bookstore. Things are not going so greatly for Haydee lately. Venus Guy Trap is the first book I have read by author Shannon McKelden. Venus Guy Trap is a hoot. I had so much fun reading this book. There was a smile on my face from start to finish. Venus was everything I thought she would be and more. This book was so funny. I thought it was great that Venus had to follow from a guidebook on the dos and don'ts of match making. There were some good tips like Rule 471 "To truly match a skill, a fairy godmother worth her weight will refrain from using her mental powers to in any way influence the match" or Rule 545 "A fairy godmother must not use her feminine wiles in any way to advance or otherwise influence the love life of her godchild." Haydee and Derek made a good couple. I was cheering for them the whole time. Venus Guy Trap is the perfect entrapment. I have found my match with this book. I plan to go back and check out Venus Envy and see what other wild and crazy adventures Venus finds herself in.
