Drab Evie Strand attends the office Christmas Eve party planning to give Adam Grant, the Casanova of Grafton, a bland tie for an exchange gift. Mistakenly the gag gift of naughtily embroidered thongs she made for her best friend Christie is given to him. Amid raucous laughter from their co-workers over the messages each displays horrified Evie wants only to slink away and hide with mortification.

Adam feels badly for embarrassing Evie and decides to offer her a peace-offering meal to ease his conscience. Evie is reluctant to agree because of his reputation but finally accepts. Meanwhile Christie has gifted her with a makeover. The change is phenomenal and Adam is amazed by the transformation. He's also intrigued by her responses to his touch. Before he's aware, he asks her on a second date to a New Year's Eve party. By mutual consent their celebration turns in to a three-day sexual feast.

A Gift for Adam is a quick read with seriously torrid make-out sessions. The characters were a bit brash and slightly underdeveloped. I felt some of the ideas were merely tossed out for shock value without a care for how the character's response would be. I was also expecting more participation from the best friend. Adriana Kraft shows a sense of humor with the dialogue between Adam and Evie. Three Angels.
