Bid High
Shy bookstore owner Amber Wilson reluctantly agrees to attend a charity event called The Bachelor Auction with her best friends Trish and Jessica. She hasn't had a date in three years because of her lying, cheating ex-fiancé Dan. He proved only to be interested in her for her father's company and has made her doubt her sexual appeal.

Amber has secretly lusted after her hunky landlord Thomas Baldwin and his professional pal Jake Grant for months but figures they may be more than mere business associates. Even with her speculations she figures neither could ever be interested in someone dull like her.

Trish and Jessica accompany her to the event for moral support and to make sure she places the High Big on Thomas. With the infusion of champagne and the shock of seeing her proprietor on stage she goes for the brass ring and wins the prize.

Crissy Smith's writing flows easily but what I found so unbelievable was the ideal of a reclusive, nearly reborn-virgin being comfortable, even enthusiastic, about a ménage relationship. If she had agreed to a preliminary relationship with either of the men first, and then later added another partner to the mix it would have been more convincing. It is too unimaginable a story to enjoy. Three Angels.
