Stick Shift
Thirty-five year old Lillian 'Lily' Jackson leads a simple unassuming life. Her three small jobs may keep her busy and pay the bills but her secret passion is stockcar racing. And one particular driver is the star in all her racy dreams. Cam Carter; oh she knows he's too young for her but she enjoys her fantasies anyway.

Cam Carter is a twenty-five year old racecar driver who is young, aggressive and likes to win. He's got those boy-next-door good looks combined with cocky confidence to make him loved and hated by stockcar fans.

When Lily's friend Candi offers her the use of her house near the racetrack she can't pass up a chance to see her heartthrob from afar. While reluctantly standing in an autograph line with her friend Allie she meets Cam up close and personal. He is instantly smitten with the shy beauty and gives her his number.

Cam tries to convenience Lily that he wants more from her than a quick fling. But Lily feels the age difference between them is too great. He wants to win the race and the woman. But will he spin out on all the major tracks?

Stick Shift is a racy read in more than stockcar terms. Lissa Matthews combines steamy sex scenes with naughty dialogue to stimulate the reader. The big-girl-gets-the-guy plot was nice but a bit unrealistic given the hero's past relationships. I had a hard time accepting the two main characters hooking up so quickly without getting to know each other better so they could to move past their physical differences. It was an entertaining read and the erotic love play was titillating but still unbelievable. Four Angels.
