A Subtle Breeze
Ezekiel "Zeke" Matthers has basically become a recluse after a vicious attack in town left him damaged, both physically and emotionally. The only time he goes into town is to visit his mama's grave. Not that it does him much good to avoid town, the horror of his attack still visits him in the form of crippling panic attacks. He has become resigned to living a lonely life until his sister, Enessa, and her friend, Gloria, decide to step in.

Brendon Shanahan, Gloria's cousin, has been coaxed and cajoled into meeting the handsome loner by the two meddling women. Not that he minds, Ezekiel is breathtaking and something about him touches Brendon and makes him long to help Ezekiel heal.

Sometimes all it takes to change is a gentle push in the right direction, so much the better if the push comes from a subtle breeze smelling of Mama, after all Mama knows best!

A Subtle Breeze is a sweet love story with a bit of a paranormal twist. There was some action and angst but it was only a small bit of the story. While the initial falling-in-love part of the story was almost instantaneous and felt a bit rushed to me, the added ghostly pushes helped me to accept the plot element without too much of a fuss. I wish we could have gotten more of mystery with who the "bad guy", or "girl" in this case, was in the story. It was obvious from the first time we met the character that it could only be her. I really enjoyed the lovemaking scenes, they were very well written and at one point I realized I had my head twisted as far as it would go to the side trying to figure out the mechanics of a position! Very hot and steamy! I hope that Bailey Bradford is planning on writing the sheriff a story. He sounds very yummy and delicious!
