Bailey Hall is not having a good day, a good week, or even a good year. He's been forced to take a job at his elder sister's daycare after being laid off from his dream job teaching literature. To make matters worse David Walker, the man that Bailey had a huge crush on in high school, has come to pick up his nephew, and Bailey is definitely not looking his best.

David Walker has spent the years since high school making a success of himself. He has everything a man could want...except someone to enjoy it with. Bailey was just a kid the last time David saw him, but there is no mistaking the fact that he is all man now. Now he just has to convince Bailey that they belong together and that sometimes dreams do come true.

Blast from the Past is a sweet story, and it just makes me smile. Bailey is such a nice character. Sweet, likeable, doing what he must to get by after he's laid off from his job. I loved that his best friend and helper in the classroom was one of the kids and that they had their own little language. I loved David and how he was still drawn to the irresistible Bailey even after nine years had past. The attraction between the two was electrifying and made my hair stand on end with its intensity. Ms. Hecht is quickly becoming one of my must read authors, and I can't wait to see what her vivid imagination comes up with next.
