Handcuffs and Glory Holes
Handcuffs and Glory Holes is the second installment in the Rawlings Men series.
Sergeant Conrad Rawlings is a dominant who has never mastered the art of casual hook ups. He finds that he can't avoid feeling some attachment even with his one-night stands. However he has found that visiting glory holes is perfect for a man like him. Anonymous, private, and completely entanglement free, in other words perfect. Until he makes the mistake of looking back when leaving the back room of a club and seeing the man who just gave him a moment's pleasure.
Willis Evans is a submissive with an abusive master. He doesn't know why his master wanted the stranger from the glory hole to see his face but he does know better than to disobey. But he hopes that he gets to see that man again, because from the moment their eyes meet Willis is lost. And meet again they will because Willis is the final part in his Master's plan to bring Conrad down.
The Rawlings Men series is interconnected by members of the same family. They can be read as a stand alone but are better enjoyed when read in order. There are six books planned in the series and I hope that they all continue in the same vein. So far they have all been very enjoyable reads. Handcuffs and Glory Holes is my favorite of the two out so far. I love Willis and Conrad as a couple and as individuals. Conrad was lovely as a man who can't even go for one-night stands because he has a hard time just being casual. Willis was a sympathetic character because of the abuse he has suffered in his lifetime. I did think that it might have been a bit too soon for Conrad and Willis to enter into a relationship but if it was going to happen I'm glad that Conrad was the one that he chose. I like that this was not an instantly perfect relationship and that both men will have to work at keeping it going. The love between them was obvious and different dynamics that they bring to the D/s aspect of the relationship were perfect. This is yet another winner from the fantastic Kim Dare.
