Man Down
Jessie Goodson is focused on his dreams of becoming a paramedic. He refuses to dwell on his traumatic and tragic past, he will succeed and nothing will distract him from his goal.
Randal Connor has returned to the area and is now training the new paramedics. He likes his job and isn't looking for any entanglements, especially not in the form of a sexy blonde that is way too young for him.
Both men quickly learn that best intentions have a way of falling to the wayside when temptation beckons. But, when Jessie's secrets come out of the shadows Randal will have to choose between helping Jessie and possibly losing everything he has worked so hard to gain.
Stephani Hecht has continued to feed my addiction for yummy manlove with Man Down, the sequel to Running Hot. Man Down can be read as a standalone, the series is comprised of books that have St. Michael's Hospital and its ancillary staff as its focus. You won't miss anything but I urge you to read the previous book for the yumminess factor alone. Man Down focuses on Jessie and Randal, two luscious characters that will appeal to a wide spectrum of readers. Jessie is a sweet lovely man who has a tragic past, a past that has left him scarred literally and metaphorically. But he is also a strong man, one who is determined to rise out of the ashes of his past and make himself anew. Randal is cast in the role model, mentoring, more experienced lead that is all set to guide the talented Jessie along his path and help him fulfill his goal. Unfortunately for them, but very fortunate for us, Randal finds himself utterly, helplessly attracted to Jessie and therein lays the angst of the story. Randal and Jessie will have to overcome many hurdles if they are to have a relationship and their journey is one of stress, sorrow, attraction, and smoldering sexual tension. Be sure and pick this one up today!
