Geo Wilson and his partner Mack Sullivan work well together, both on the job and off. A year ago their partnership took a new direction and the two became lovers. Both men revel in their love but fear the repercussions to their families and their careers if it comes to light. When the FBI steps in to take over a case Mack is shocked to discover that Geo's old flame, Lauren, is the lead and she has her sights set on more than solving the case. She wants Geo and will stop at nothing to get him. As Geo does nothing to rebuff her Mack feels more and more hurt and begins to pull away. Will the two discover that their love is strong beyond a reasonable doubt or will their love affair end with both men stubbornly clinging to their pride?

To be completely honest I have some major issues with this story. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Mia Watts. She is one of my must buy authors and I eagerly await each release with heaving bosoms and baited breath. But this time I'm afraid I'm going to have to express my opinion. As an avid fan girl I am very, very upset. This story is way too short! I can't decide if it's a brilliant marketing move on Ms. Watts' part or part of a devious plot to punish her fans. I literally screamed "NO!" when I read the last word. I absolutely love Geo and Mack and was so excited when I discovered that there was a sequel to Bad Boys, Bad Boys. Reasonable Doubt is everything you could hope for in a sequel. Mack and Geo are still together after a year. The love between them appears to be strong but the cracks in their relationship are quickly brought to light when Lauren, Geo's ex-fiancée, appears on the scene. While Geo and Mack are lovers, roommates, and partners, they are still hiding their relationship from everyone around them. But it doesn't take long for Lauren to figure out the secret and play upon Mack's insecurities. Ms. Watts once again displays her abilities with the adept way she showcases how the safeguards the men have put in place to keep their relationship secret become a prison. I cannot wait for the next book in the Boys in Blue series!
