Skilled computer hacker Layla Roads is in trouble. Air demons have kidnapped her young brother. They will kill him if she doesn't retrieve some information from a computer database. The challenge is that this database belongs to a blood demon and not just any blood demon. It belongs to Gethin. When Layla masquerades as his new assistant, she discovers just how much trouble she's in. Gethin calmly and coldly tortures beings in the office basement. He makes sexual passes at her continuously. He also stirs her passions like no other being.

A clumsy demon co-worker breaks Layla's glasses and this signals the air demons to attack. Layla has mere seconds to gather information, hoping she's retrieved enough lines to save her brother, and escape. She doesn't get very far. An angry blood demon is not someone to cross and Gethin now knows who the traitor is.

Break is a wonderful erotic romance between an unapologetically bad blood demon and a feisty female. The rapport between Gethin and Layla is both playful and sensual. The dialogue is witty. Sexual double-entendres fly between the two of them. Gethin does become a kinder, gentler demon toward the end of the story but Layla and readers will fall in love with his early bad boy persona. Break is a fun, yet spicy, paranormal romance.
