Whirlpool
Angels: 5 Angels
When archaeologist Jamie Powell arrives in Jayge's Cove to catalog and inventory a large collection of marine artifacts, he never dreamt that he would find evidence of merfolk. After a diving accident, where his life is saved by one of the mythical creatures, he realizes his new friends, who have been the object of many of his hot sexual fantasies, are members of this magical race. Chelsea and Brandt are two of the most beautiful and sexually exciting people he has ever met, and after a particularly intense sexual interlude with both of them, he is sure that he's in love. The question is: how does a human fit in with merfolk?

It's in the nature of merfolk to mate in threes, and Chelsea and Brandt are pretty sure Jamie is the one, but Jamie is human and not a part of the pod. Can Chelsea and Brandt risk bringing a human into their world?

Whirlpool is well written, and a pleasure to read from beginning to end. The premise of the story is great, and I loved Ms. Arend's take on the mermaid legends. The love scenes are hot from beginning to end, but tastefully done, fitting seamlessly in the flow of the story. Anyone who enjoys shape shifter stories, and merfolk in particular, will love this book.
