Pack of Lies
Marcus understands pack law. As Alpha, he knows the rules intimately, but that doesn't stop him from lusting for men. He tries to hide his attraction and the level of difficulty changes when he encounters Jack.

Jack didn't believe in werewolves, but after he's attacked by a wolf and begins to notice the changes that occur over time, he has to face the truth. Meeting the human form of the one who attacked him was surprising. The attraction overwhelmed Jack, and he's sure he has fallen for Marcus. Jack and Marcus' lives are about to change, but is it for the better?

Vanessa Vaughn latest release Pack of Lies takes us into a group that is like others. Marcus knows how his pack feels about him as a leader. Truth be told, if there was a gracious way to back out of the role, he probably would have found it. Jack has a nice orderly life, and I felt bad for him. From his career to his personal life, the attack affected everything he held dear. It was a big price to pay for something he didn't want. There was a great deal of back stabbing in this story that left a bitter taste in my mouth. The ones I thought would be helpful were out for self, and the one I thought would run actually decided to lend a hand before drawing a line in the sand. The story was an interesting read with plenty of scenes where we see the wolves shifting.
