Too Much Information
Too Much Information by Glyn Soitino is the third book based on characters in her earlier works.

Mike is very worried about his live-in lover, Seth, who has lately been having terrible headaches. Unfortunately, he couldn't take Seth to the hospital because he was created by the genie Zahir while he was interned in his bottle for ages. Zahir, or Zach, never thought he would be released so he made Seth and promised that if he ever was released he would free him too. Upon his release he kept his word giving Seth the knowledge he needed to live in the world. Mike returned home to find Seth not feeling well, but later while talking Seth went rigid and became unresponsive. Mike did the only thing he could think about and he yelled for Seth's maker, Zahir. Zach quickly realized that Seth's mind was overloaded from all the information he placed in it before he released him and it was killing him. Can Zach find a way to extract the unneeded data, and if so how can he do it without changing who Seth has become?

Ms. Soitino has continued her earlier stories with this short and fascinating story. To watch Seth as he had what might be called a seizure was scary, but intriguing when you figure that he was created just months ago. To think that a person could be created and be functional in all ways as to be unnoticed is astounding. It was sad to think what Zach went through imprisoned for so long that he made someone so he wouldn't be alone. Watching Zach as he went inside Seth's mind reminded me of what a doctor must go through in very delicate surgery. For a short story, this one is complete and concise on its own, adding the earlier stories to help deepen each character. Thanks go to Ms. Soitino for a nice story.
