Uncorked
Bobby Bielecki is nervous about his upcoming trip home. While he's happy to help run the family wine store while his adopted father and partner take a much needed vacation, he's apprehensive about seeing his once best friend Kenny Johnson. To say he's in love with Kenny would be an understatement, but a fateful night years ago changed their relationship, and the closeness they once shared was lost.
Kenny has missed Bobby and hopes this time together will help them bridge the gap. They discover a case of expensive wine is missing and decide finding out what happened to the case is more important than harping on their past. Will the mystery be just what they need to reconnect?
Andrew Grey's Uncorked takes us back to Milwaukee, where we see how the years have treated Bobby Bielecki. I loved this character when I first met him in Bottled Up. He still has that spirit and drive, but he's missing that one special person to make his world complete. Mr. Grey goes back to explain how Kenny came into their lives, to help build his character. While some aspects of his story are sad, he had a strong support system to give him a better life than most in his plight.
The mystery isn't over complicated, but leads to some events that not only help Kenny and Bobby repair the damage to their friendship, but also helps Bobby with his painful past. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Uncorked and look forward to reading more of Mr. Grey's fantastic stories in the near future.
