Love Means No Boundaries
Love Means No Boundaries by Andrew Grey is the sequel to his earlier book Love Means No Shame.

Joey was in a motorcycle accident leaving him emotionally and physically scared changing how he felt about himself. With the help of his friends, Eli and Geoff, Joey took a job working for them, and eventually living with them, as a crop manager on their farm. On the farm Joey finds both the love and acceptance that was missing after his accident, but it also keeps him isolated from the community. One day, Geoff's sister Mani calls needing an emergency host family for a member of the National Youth Symphony after a family backed out at the last minute. Eli agrees and asks Joey to pick the young man up not realizing that this could possibly change Joey's life. Joey's first thought is that Robbie is too cute, but that thought is tempered when he believes that Robbie expects Joey to wait on him. That thought quickly changes when he notices that Joey is blind. Robbie is happy when Joey treats him just like everyone else. Most people treat Robbie like a child, but at the farm Robbie quickly finds out that everyone helps out. He is more then willing to do what he can to assist them. Joey is drawn to Robbie's acceptance of him, not just because he can't see his scars, but because of his loving and beautiful character. Joey encourages Robbie to stretch his wings from planting a garden to riding a horse, which Robbie loves. As they get to know each other better their feelings take hold and their expression of love towards each other is very poignant and beautiful to behold. As Robbie's visit comes to an end, is their love strong enough to face separation and overcome the obstacles ahead of them?

Mr. Grey has written and beautiful and poignant story overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles to find a love that could stand the test of time. The way people treated Robbie is unfortunately common to people who are disabled to only see the difference in them not their character. Robbie's mother with her need to watch over him with love and support was only holding him back from becoming the man he could be. Joey's ability to see beyond Robbie's gave him the strength to try things he never thought possible. Robbie's heightened senses allow him to see things from a unique perspective. The love between Joey and Robbie was beautiful to behold as it unfolded. The world would be a must better place if people could just look beyond the surface to the individual inner beauty of each person. Thanks go to Mr. Grey for an inspiring story.
