Primal Law
Kira Locke had almost made it out the door of her place of employment. Kira is able to get in her car and take off, although, Kira does not get far before she's trapped and screams bloody murder.
Jaxon Law is having a fun night out when he hears Kira's scream. He heads in Kira's direction and rescues her. Unfortunately, Kira witnesses Jaxon transforming into his wolf side and now must become a temporary member of the Alpha Pack.
Primal Law is the first book in this series, Alpha Pack. While, I did like some of the characters and the world that Ms. Tyler built for the Alpha Pack, I did find some flaws with this book. It was not believable. I know this probably shouldn't matter when it comes to a paranormal book, but in this case, the level of believability was a problem for me. For example, The Alpha Pack was this secret, operative group yet, they welcome Kira in instantly, with no reservations. I don't care if Kira was the woman that Jaxon dreamed about, I felt that the group should've been more on guard around Kira in the beginning. Also, there wasn't a lot of romantic build up between Jaxon and Kira. Again, it was like an unspoken thing that Kira and Jaxon just knew they were meant to be together, so they just started making out.
On a brighter note, the story line moved at a good, steady pace and there was plenty of action. Where this series is leading looks good. If you like shape shifter stories, then you may like this book. Now, is the best time to jump into this series as this is book one and the excerpt that I read for book two sounds like it will be better.
