The Strip
Detectives Gucci Marlowe and her partner, Jagger Smith is called to a hotel where one of the guests was murdered. The victim is Cam Lawford, former NFL player turned male escort. It appears that Cam was a popular man. Some of his clientele included the rich and famous like Jennifer Payne, a therapist. Then there is Kristin Fox, bestselling author and rock star, Billie Shelton.

Cam was writing a book called the Stud Diaries. If this book were ever to be published, these three ladies would have a lot to lose. So who had the guts to murder Cam, in order to keep their secret?

While, this book features Billie from Tan Lines, you can still read this book as a stand-alone novel. In fact, I've read Tan Lines and it did not register with me that Billie was a character from that book.

It was due to Tan Lines that I fell in love with this author. I found myself laughing and having a good time while reading that book and couldn't wait to read Mr. Salem's next book. So, when The Strip came out, I knew I had to check it out. I did like this book and again, it was due to Mr. Salem's writing style. He has a really good knack for the details and it's almost scary how well he knows women and our personas. The part that I missed the most was the humor. I wasn't laughing while reading this book. However, I did become connected with Kristin, Jennifer, Billie and even Cam. Cam had a good heart. He really was a nice guy that treated women with respect and wasn't a womanizer. As the saying goes..."What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".
