Kai and Alex are on a hunt for a demon vampire willing to change anyone, including children. They are borne vampires, born with a soul and put there to keep other vampires from creating, demons.

When woken up by a pilot saying the plane is going down, Alex knows he has to save Kai. He owes her that much, since she saved his soul and he has been in love with her since he first laid eyes on her.

After escaping the exploding plane and almost starving to death, they are rescued by the gypsy's residing at the Wulf Family Manor. This is Alex's home but Kai doesn't know this because Alex changed his name after the death and destruction caused him to leave this place many years ago. Finding himself in a place he has been running from all those years ago brings back all the memories.

Kai has been in love with Alex for as long as she can remember, but he won't let her get close. Now, his past is catching up to him and Kai doesn't know if she can save him. A jealous lover from his past coming back to claim him as her own, and the plans their enemies have to give the dammed the advantage could allow them to take over and rule the world.

This is the third book of the Bourne Vampire Series. I would recommend these books to anyone. They offer romance as well as action and adventure. This is a great book written by Wend Petzler. Not only can it be read with the other books, it can also be read as a standalone. I know that if you read one, you'll want to read them all. I'm looking forward to the next book can't wait to see what Ms. Petzler has in store for us next.
