Hotblooded
The actions of a mother can sometimes be passed on to their daughters in the future. This is the case with Brooke Donovan. Though she is an adult now, the things her mother did in the past are making her life now, a living hell. All she wants in life is to be a good doctor but the people in Honey Creek, Texas won't let her be a doctor. So in order to be taken seriously, she has forbidden herself of having fun or being tempted by any man. The problem is that Dr. Jack Silver is not taking her seriously and is making her break every rule that she has set in Honey Creek. Just when she thinks she might be a success, Jack gives her a kiss that she can't forget, no matter how hard she tries. Can she go back to being a woman scorned by the people of Honey Creek or be loved by the only man she ever known to really look at her?

Dr. Jack Silver is guilty of so many things and right now, it is about Brooke Donovan. What was supposed to be a simple task of a delivery is turning out to be more. He didn't want to fall for her but something about Brooke gets to his heart. Here is a woman who is strong, courageous and yet he feels like she is screaming for someone to love her. Jack has no idea why a woman like her would stay in a town that hates her but sees that she is determined to come out as a better person. Hotblooded she may be. But, inside is a woman that begs to be loved, desired and cherished forever. Can he convince Brooke that as doctors, they work great but as lovers, they can sizzle anything in the doctor's office with their love?

Erin Nicholas has done it again in another hit that is becoming a favorite for this reader. One minute she has two people hating each other but still making the pages sizzle with their passion. Hotblooded shows us a woman who is trying to be something other than her mother's daughter and a man searching for redemption for something he thinks he is to be blamed. Erin Nicholas definitely has a clever imagination in bringing these two together yet, applauded for how she does it to make a woman like Brooke see that a life of love is worth having, instead of just a career. Hotblooded was worth the wait and I can't wait for more from Erin Nicholas, for this was a well-developed story that so kept my attention, I never put it down.
