Wicked Woman
Vengeance is what makes a man in the West succeed when it comes to finding his brother's killer. The problem is, for a man like Nathan Bender, it can also be his downfall, as he's not known for killing but instead, a simple rancher. Yet, everything changes when his whole family and nephew are murdered. Now he's determined to find the man that killed them and a woman like O'Dell Murphy is not part of his vengeance. No matter how hard he tries to get rid of her, O'Dell is determined for her own vengeance as well. Can Nathan find the killer before O'Dell finds him?

O'Dell Murphy is not your usual whore. She is a woman who's had bad luck and in order to survive, she's used what God gave her. The thing is, she's saved all her money and one man takes it all away with a snap of his fingers. Unlike other whores, she is determined to get what is hers, no matter who gets hurts. Meeting Nathan is not what she expected, but she's determined to help him in every way she can. Just when she starts dreaming of a life that is surely impossible, the killer and the thief tricks her again. Can she make Nathan see that she's not just a damsel in distress but one persistent in changing her life forever?

Annabelle Weston's latest Wicked Woman is definitely a story worth reading from beginning to end. I love that you have Nathan Bender, who in his whole life has never picked up a gun, but is now determined to use one at any cost. Then you have O'Dell Murphy who even though is a whore by profession, she is more of an innocent woman at heart. Together these two prove to one another that what they really need is love, not vengeance. Annabelle Weston shows us that even though vengeance might bring peace to someone, it can also lead to something like love when it comes to Nathan and O'Dell. All in all, Wicked Woman was a fun read, making me wonder how O'Dell can convince Nathan she is the only woman he needs in life. I loved it and can't wait for more.
