Tied With a Bow
Tied With a Bow is a four-story holiday romance anthology.
The first story, Upon a Midnight Clear by Virginia Kantra is the tale of an angel who comes to earth to offer comfort to a dying woman in a Paris prison. The woman pleads for the angel to save her young daughter and in doing so, the angel is cast out and earth bound. While trying to make a living on earth, Lucien Hartfell comes up with a plan to marry a wealthy woman to avoid the ultimatum given to him by the Earl of Amherst and while courting Miss Julia Basing, he comes face-to-face with the girl he saved eight years earlier.
Upon a Midnight Clear is a sweet, heart-wrenching tale sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Lucien and Aimée are likable, determined characters that pull you right into their lives.
The second story is First Light by Kimberly Frost. Kate Devane has been dreaming of a ring and a bronze-skinned warrior since she found an antique ring in college that mysteriously disappeared three days later. The dreams started coming more frequently until the day Kate discovered the man, Nathaniel, while out taking pictures. Nathaniel has amnesia, but is slowly regaining his memory. Kate takes him to Etherlin to see if they can identify who or what he is and why the part-vampire ventala are after him.
First Light is the introduction to Kimberly Frost's new Etherlin series. It's a stimulating, swift-moving tale with passionate characters that have a great chemistry. After getting this taste of Ms. Frost's series, I'm eager to read the first release All That Bleeds that's scheduled to be release in January 2012.
Story number three is Human Error by Eileen Wilks. Lupus Benedict and his mate Arjenie are going to visit Arjenie's family for the holidays. Her family is Wiccan and Benedict is a little nervous about how they will react to him being lupus. When they arrive, someone or something forces Benedict to change into his wolf form, not the first impression he wanted to make with the Delacroix clan. While trying to figure out who forced the change, the local Sheriff has enlisted the help of Benedict, Arjenie and her family to finds who or what is responsible for mutilating a local man.
Human Error is from Eileen Wilks's Lupi series. This entertaining, exciting story has vivid, appealing characters and a fluid, gripping storyline. This quick glimpse into the Lupi world is sure to delight readers and leave them wanting more.
The fourth and final story in this anthology is An Inconvenient Mate by Lora Leigh. When Isabelle Martinez catches the eye of Coyote Breed Malachi Morgan from across the bar, she puts her fears from a recent attack behind her and takes up the challenge of going after what she wants. Living out her fantasy, Isabelle walks up to Malachi and makes him an offer that he just can't refuse. As their sensual game of catch me if you can begins, the man who attacked Isabelle is watching, awaiting his chance to take what he wants - her.
An Inconvenient Mate is a sexy, sensual tale that heats up the pages enough to negate the need for a roaring fire. Isabelle and Malachi absolutely sizzle together, giving the reader a wickedly delicious treat that will have them wishing that it'd never end.
Tied With a Bow is a decadent gift that you'll want to treat yourself to this year. Four talented, bestselling authors have each created a well-written, well-developed tale that maintained the holiday theme while adding dramatic, sexy, tension filled scenes that keep your eyes glued to the pages. 5 Angels!
