Eastern Ambitions
Compass Brothers 3
It has been seven years since Sam Compton left his home for the bright lights and big city of New York, but no matter the changes in his life, Compass Ranch will always be home. Sam had always planned to return to his family someday, however, he never expected it to be so soon. On the day he is planning to become Wall Street's youngest VP, he is shocked to learn that the woman he had hoped to marry has betrayed him with the hope of taking his job. Still smarting from her vicious betrayal, Sam learns that his father is dying from cancer and he knows the time has arrived - time to go home. In the midst of all the loss, Sam finds succor in the arms of Cindi, the woman whom his family has made an honorary member. Falling in love was the last thing Sam wanted or expected, but regardless of what he wanted, it's happening. But, Cindi shies away from commitment and Sam doesn't know how to change that. Is he enough for Cindi, or does she need more than he can give?
From the first time Cindi saw the picture of Sam Compton, she was intrigued, but Sam ran to the very place she ran from and she has no desire ever to return. In Compass Ranch, Cindi has found a home and if she had her way, she would never leave. None of that changes her feelings for Sam when she finally meets him. The sparks don't just fly; they darn near burn the house down and the more Cindi tries to stay away, the more she finds that she can't. The problem is Cindi has always known she could never settle for just one man and she's not sure how Sam will react to that. If she follows her heart, will she find love and acceptance or disdain and disgust?
Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon truly are a formidable team. They don't just give good sex; they give great sex. The Compass Brothers are sexy with a capital "S"; each book more seductive than the last. The storylines compel readers to get hooked and the Compton family drama is sure to bring even the most impassive of readers to tears. The passion between Sam and Cindi was so smoldering hot, it practically burned the words off the pages. When you add in other players in their ménage-a-many, it's absolutely sinful. However, hot sex is not the only thing the Compass Brothers have going for them. They are about family ties and the loyalty found within. They are captivating, evocative and highly addicting. Once readers visit Compass Ranch, they may never want to leave.
