Christian's Menace
Christian's Menace by Lynn Hagen is the first book in the Christian's Coven series.

Prince Christian is in charge of his vampire coven and is sick of with dealing with the rogue vampires that keep coming to his area. Christian has taken great pains to teach the members of his coven to respect the humans and only kill when their lives are in danger, but the rogues follow no rules and respect no one. Christian created the Manacle, so humans who wish to become blood donors could go and remain unharmed. Christian goes to meet with the local pack leader Alpha Zeus, hoping to catch a glimpse of his two mates who are living with the pack, Minsheng and Yasuko. Minsheng and Yasuko were kidnapped from Japan and abused sexually until they were found by Zeus's pack, where Christian first saw them. Yasuka's fragile beauty and Minsheng's fierce personality are perfect for him. Yasuka is immediately drawn to Christian, but Minsheng's stubborn refusal to go with Christian stops him. Christian begins to understand when Minsheng tells him about the abuse they endured and Christian knows he will have to overcome Minsheng's fear before he can win them for himself. Christian takes them to the Manacle, where Minsheng and Yasuka get their first taste of freedom, to try to earn their trust. Will Christian win their love before his enemies strike?

Christian's Menace is a wonderful and fast-paced story. Prince Christian is not your average vampire and his desire to love and protect his mates was beautiful. The visual descriptions of Yasuka and Minsheng through Christian's eyes brought them to life for the reader. Yasuka's childlike wonder in everything that he seen helped the reader to experience the world through his eyes. Yasuka's ability to love and accept new people is an ability that I wish more adults had. It was hysterical how Minsheng's contrary attitudes brought laughter to Christian; definitely not, how he expected Christian to react! The love between the three was incredible as they opened up to each other's love.
