Courting Calvin
Courting Calvin by Amber Kell is the third book in the Moon Pack series.
Calvin can't believe that he has to choose between saving his sister by kidnapping Anthony, the Alpha mate of Silver, the leader of the Moon Pack, or the people who took her will kill her in retaliation. Calvin is the only family she has left and he feels he has no other options. Anthony Alesandro, the vampire leader of the local coven, sees Calvin during a meeting with Anthony and he can't take his eyes off Calvin. Calvin was hired as a woodworker by Anthony to create artwork and would love to do the work if there was some way to rescue his sister. Calvin is having a hard time sticking to the work on hand with Alesandro around because he knows that after he grabs Anthony, his chances of just staying alive are slim to none. Alesandro makes his move on Calvin and the two have an encounter they will never forget. As the threats against his sister mounts, Calvin mistakenly lets Alesandro know there is a problem and Alesandro worms the rest of the info out of Calvin. Alesandro vows to help Calvin save his sister with the help of the Moon Pack, but will it be too late?
Courting Calvin lives up to the Moon Pack's earlier books with its fast paced and compelling plot the held me in its grip until the very end. The thought of having a member of your family kidnapped would frighten anyone and Calvin is no exception. Calvin's resistance to hurting Anthony in spite of the danger to his sister shows what a caring person he is. Anthony is a wonderful character who always does the right thing, even when he knows that Silver will be against anything that puts him in danger. It was intriguing how the different members of the pack viewed the impending threat to Anthony when he was the only one who had compassion for what Calvin' s sister was going through. I will never get enough of Anthony's quirky and devious personality.
