Wisp and White Hart
Wisp and White Hart by Augusta Li is an Ensorcelled 1.2 Adventure.

Elijah Tupper and his lover Dust have been on many adventures since Elijah left his hometown and began their travels. Dust taught him how to use his innate magical abilities and together they take on jobs as they travel. Their last job took a turn for the worst when they figured out the woman they were sent to investigate turned out to be an ifrit, or desert spirit, forcing them to run, leaving everything behind. After getting stranding in an English moor, they hitched a ride that dropped them off at The White Hart Inn and Public House. It's Christmas time and they remember past Christmas's, but Elijah wants this one to be perfect for Dust. Dust wants the evening to start with a bang, until Elijah realizes his ring is gone. Dust couldn't have taken the ring because he can't touch it and whoever controls the ring, controls Dust. Who is impersonating Dust? Will Elijah find a way to keep Dust and their love safe?

This is a short, sweet story with the warmth and heart expected for the Christmas Season. The love between Dust and Elijah is evident from their need to protect each other. Few people would take the time to open their heart and lives to someone, like Elijah did, without expecting anything in return. The incorporation of magical abilities and creatures added suspense to the story. I enjoyed the visual descriptions of The White Hart that brought the holiday season to life for me. The use of magic was perfect as it enhanced the essence of the holiday season.
