The past several months have brought many challenges to Nexi's life, but nothing could have prepared her to be ruler of the Underworld. However, Nexi is determined to make the best of her new role and hopefully reduce the evil in the world. She has decreed that demons can never take innocent souls, but that's anything but okay with the demons. They have started an uprising to get rid of Nexi and they plan to do it with the help of the worst demons of all time. The more challenges Nexi faces, the more her powers are growing and there seems to be no answer as to why she can do the things she can. All Nexi wants to do is enjoy her new bond with Kyden and get back to her semi-insane life. Is that too much to ask?

Once again, Stacey Kennedy rocked it! Her Magical Sword series is laugh out loud funny with a plot that could only be created by a great imagination. Nexi's spunk and sarcastic wit never fail to entertain and her sense of humor is always good for a laugh. From her opinion of a Brazilian wax, "don't you dare leave me looking like a girl in a training bra!" to her demand, "it better get better than this" as Kyden recites his bonding vows, I couldn't keep my laughter contained. I hate it that the series is finished, but I'm grateful that the Otherworld will live on through other characters I have grown to love. First and Last was engrossing and entertaining and lovers of the paranormal will surely adore this series.
