Seven Days
Seven Days by Andrew Grey is a contemporary homoerotic romance.

Evan had the perfect life, until the day his parents were killed in a car accident leaving him alone in the world. After running away from the foster home he was placed in, Evan finds himself living on the street doing whatever he can to stay alive. The only way Evan can deal with picking up johns is to disconnect his mind, but in the end this life is taking its toll on him. One day, Evan is approached by a man of the cloth, Father Valentin, who offers to feed him. Evan believes that everyone wants something, but when Father Valentin offers him a home, schooling and the prospect of a better life he takes a chance and goes with him. Father Valentin takes him to St. Bartholomew's Academy for Boys where Evan begins his new life. Evan settles into his new home with the help of his roommate Clay who becomes his best friend. As the years pass, Evan begins to realize that his feelings for Clay have become much more than friends. When Evan endures a horrible predicament with one of the Brothers, Clay stays by his side believing in him. When their lives in school are about to end, Clay and Evan have one night of ecstasy together, but will they find their way back together when life separates them?

Mr. Grey has written a beautiful story about how one act of kindness can change someone's life forever. Evan's life was terrible after his parents died and he couldn't believe that Father Valentin didn't want anything from him from him, because that is what he learned living on the street. The love and friendship he found at St. Bartholomew's school gave him back the family he lost, but in Clay he learned that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself. Clay's love and support allowed him to fight for a better future. I loved how the school accepted boys who needed help giving them a chance at life and if people acted in kindness like St. Bartholomew's Academy the world would be a better place. Thanks go to Mr. Grey for an inspiring book.
