Twenty-year-old Reagan Truman has settled into her home in the small town of Harmony, Texas. For the first time in her young life, she finally feels like she's found her place and her family. Now, with uncle Jeremiah dying, Reagan is afraid that the careful life she's built will all come tumbling down. She's always counted on her best friend Noah MacAllen to be there for her, but his traveling with the rodeo has strained their relationship and fireman Brandon Biggs seems to be getting closer to Reagan than Noah would like.

The Comforts of Home is the third release in author Jodi Thomas' Harmony series. I love getting to visit this quaint, small town and seeing what everyone has been up to. It feels like catching up with old friends. In addition to Reagan, Jeremiah, Noah and Brandon, we also get to see how funeral home director Tyler Wright is doing with his relationship with Major Kate Cummings. We get to see how Ronelle Logan reacts to meeting recluse Martin Winslow and see her come out of her shell a little bit. We also get to meet a new character, Autumn Smith.

There's always something brewing in Harmony and each story just adds to the richness of depth of the characters and town. If you haven't had a chance to meet the fine folks of Harmony, Texas, what are you waiting for? I will say that each book could be read as a stand-alone, but I feel like you'd be missing some of the chemistry and continuity that makes this series so great.
