Trance
Fifteen years ago, the Meta War between Specter, leader of the Banes and the Ranger Corps was in full force. Teresa "Trance" was just a little girl back then and fighting with the junior Rangers as Trance's father fought with the adults.

Present Day

The Meta War is over. Trance's father is dead and Trance's powers left her when the war was over. A girl could use some warning, when her powers are reappearing. The biggest clue to Trance that her powers had returned was when purple streaks appeared in her hair. Trance has not only gained her powers back, but she also gained some new ones as well. With Trance's powers back, this can only mean one thing...form the Rangers back and Specter is back as well.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of the X-Men, which I am a fan of, so that's a good thing. In this book, I not only got to read about each character's abilities, but I also got to see them put it to use as well. This was a big plus. There have been several books that I have read where the characters are supposed to have powers, but they are hardly ever utilized in the book.

I like Trance. She is definitely the leader of the group. She is smart and the rest of the group trusts her. I can't wait to read the next book to see how Trance and Gage's relationship blossoms, as it was just getting started in this book.
