Cassandra "Cass" Archer is a Huntress. She helps to locate lost and kidnapped children. Her usual hunting grounds are the Barrows, a place that most humans stay away from. It's the perfect place for monsters from every different variety. Cass has gained a reputation as being the go-to-woman for finding lost children. Which is why, when Detective Flynn's younger sister, Selene goes missing. Flynn requests Cass's help.

Her good friend and psychic, Madam Abigail "Abby", as well as Flynn, join Cass. Working with Flynn does have its perks, as he's easy on the eyes.

Viper Moon is the first book in the Earth Witches series. Cass is one kickass chick. She can take a lot of punches then get back up and do it all over again. Though, at times, she may get back up slower, but to quote Detective Flynn "Cass cleans up nice". I adored Abby. I never knew what trick she had up her sleeve next. Flynn is full of testosterone, in a good way. He was a man's man. Which meant that he was tough and had Cass's back. Flynn and Cass shared a strong chemistry. They made a good couple.

If the next book is anything like this one, then I'm sure to be in for an exciting ride!
