Robert, Chase and Leonora were at the gate of Hardford castle to finally get revenge for what had been done to their younger brother Tristan years earlier. At a young age, Tristan was thrown down the stairs and left to die, but they found him and immediately left the castle.

John Hardford had sworn to take care of Baron Richard Warden's children, to protect them as if they were his own, while the baron was out of the country. It had taken Tristan over six years to be able to walk again after the accident from the trauma to his spine.

Robert, John's oldest son could not believe the charges they were being presented with and knew there had to be a mistake. He had been best friends with Robert and Chase and had been in love with Leonora when they just disappeared. Something wasn't right and he was going to find out what it was, he had to convince Leonora he is innocent. He knew his family wasn't capable of doing what they were being accused of.

I thought this book was great. I enjoyed the way the writer brings you into the story. This is a love story with the knight in shining armor. It captivates you right from the beginning. It makes you believe that things like this really did happen and shows that true love can last a lifetime, even if you haven't seen that person in years. This was a story of love and trust.
