Depressed by the loss of her fiancé (due to his infidelity) Lacey McGuire makes the mistake of drowning her sorrows by herself one night, and creates a web file with a list of all the naughty things she wants to do now that she is "free". Unfortunately for her, she mistakenly sends it to her two best friends, Ryan and Bram, who are also co-owners of a restaurant. They, on the other hand, are thrilled by the realization that she wants them, after years of refusing to allow themselves to do more than dream about having her. They are amazed that she fantasizes about a threesome with them and are more than happy to make sure that all the items on her list are successfully checked off.

The three then begin a scorching affair. From the outset, Lacey is determined to keep it a strictly awesome sex between best buddies type of arrangement. She is terrified that their employees will find out and she'll provide more pitying fodder for the gossip mill. However, Ry and Bram are playing for keeps. It will be her call whether to publicly recognize their love or sentence their dreams to dust.

Scorching is indeed the best descriptive word here. Ry and Bram are hot, hot, hot, and in fact, I think The Naughty List exemplifies the standard of Samhain's "RED HOTS" classification. Author Jodi Redford has created a short cast of characters who resonate easily, due to the way she allows the reader into each person's head, feeling both their emotional reactions as well as their physical responses to the behavior of the other two. She plays no favorites, so we see the world through Lacey, Ryan and Bram's perspectives. The reader has the front row seat in every scene, from Lacey's attempt to cover up her internet blunder, to the thrill the men feel at finally being able to claim her, to their despair at potentially losing their best friend, to Lacey's anguish over her decision. Throw in some seriously sexy antics, including what is one of the kinkiest ménage scenes I've come across, and you've got yourself a winner! I highly recommend The Naughty List to anyone looking for an emotionally satisfying story with enough heat to sear the extremities!
