Want To Go Private
Isabel is looking for a little kink. Having lost her husband, who provided more than enough of that, she is not searching for a relationship, just some sex-with a little kink. To that end, she ends up on a D/s website, researching the lifestyle and spending her free time hanging out with her friends at a local bar. Little does she know that the bartender, Chris, is not only a master Dom, but also the owner of the website. When he discovers her identity and her interest, he determines that he will be the one to instruct her in how to be a submissive. To this end, he begins by hand cuffing her to the bar, which backfires when he loses control of the scene. However, he decides to risk her rage by tricking her into a hotel room, at the possible expense of losing it all. Will she toss him out or accept him for what he is - a Dom seeking a sub, a man in search of a mate to love and hold?
Ms. Ellis does a wonderful job exploring the feelings of both Isabel and Chris. She shows Idabel's fascination with the lifestyle, sparked by her husband's insistence that she participate in a scene. Her realization that the man who has encouraged "to go private" with him to explore her desires is almost comical...at least until he jacks up the intense attraction sparking between them.
Chris is very nearly undone by the volatile emotions Isabel draws out of him. He is, after all, a very experienced Dom, and his out of control behavior is completely unacceptable. In unfamiliar territory, he struggles to assert his authority, only to find his attempt fails as Isabel turns the tables on him with her demand that he meet her halfway.
Although the plot is somewhat convoluted with a confusing cast of secondary characters, the only real complaint I have is that it felt that the story was just about to really take off when it hit The End! However, if you're looking for a relatively quick peek into the D/s world, Want To Go Private might be just the ticket.
