Santa's Wayward Elf
Sosie is different and everybody knows it too. Being different in the Elf world, however, is not good. For centuries she has worked in Santa's workshop in the adult toy department. Yes, even Santa is naughty and sometimes she wonders how these toys bring enjoyment to people, particularly people like her. Sosie knows she doesn't belong in the North Pole so a transfer is in order. Yet not all plans are set in motion and now she is stuck in the real world. She expected awkwardness, out of town looks but not passion and love with a man like Officer Derek Clayton. Just like her he is tall but he treats her like no other man has done before in her life. She knows keeping her identity a secret might tear them apart but she knows she belongs to Derek. Can she stay in his world or will the Elf squad kidnap her before she tells Derek about her feelings?

Derek Clayton doesn't believe in love until he meets Sosie. As a police officer he knows when someone needs help and Sosie definitely needs his help. Sosie is like a woman out of his dreams, so it seems almost impossible that she would want him. He knows that Sosie is not from the city but seems to be adapting well in the city-including in his home. With Sosie he is seeing the city in a new light and loves her attitude of life and passion. Just when he would confide his feelings for her someone takes her away. He doesn't know where Sosie came from but knows in his heart that she is not in league with the bad people from the case he's working. Or is she? As a police officer breaking this case will be big for him but can he stay focused when Sosie distracts him in every way?

One word for Santa's Wayward Elf by Paige Tyler is hot. Sosie, for all her life, has always felt different but never realized why until now. Then there's Derek Clayton who is always working, never having fun, until he meets Sosie. Together these two were fun to read and man the hot scenes? Well, just grab a bucket of ice. Ms. Tyler did a great job showing us that a woman like Sosie who even though is an adult seemed like a child seeing the real world for the first time. The Elves never lost one of their own and Sosie is definitely one they don't ever want to lose. I loved it and can't wait for more from this talented author, for her imagination is just wickedly funny.
