Honor Gillette's late husband Eddie was a police officer that was killed while on the job, leaving Honor alone to raise their daughter Emily. While getting ready for a birthday party, four-year-old Emily spots a sick man lying in their yard, but when Honor goes out to check on the man, she finds herself facing an angry, armed man.

Lee Coburn is a man wanted for killing seven men the previous night and informs Honor that he won't hurt her or her daughter as long as she cooperates, doing everything he orders her to do. Lee didn't choose Honor's house at random. He's searching for something and tells Honor that her late husband hid something important that he wants and that Eddie wasn't the straight-laced guy that Honor thought he was. After shooting a cop in her house, Lee grabs Honor and Emily and soon has them along for a dangerous, deadly ride that he says is the only way to protect them, but how far can Lee be trusted?

Lethal is a thrilling, action-packed tale full of vibrant, unadulterated enjoyment. I was instantly drawn into this story and couldn't put it down until I finished each and every word. Author Sandra Brown doesn't disappoint with this latest novel. She keeps the suspense consistent and taut from start to finish. You just can't go wrong by picking up a copy of Lethal. Ms. Brown has penned an intelligent, pitch perfect novel with a strong, scintillating romance, high-stakes suspense, appealing characters and dark, depraved villains.
