Spells & Stitches
Sugar Maple, Vermont is home to a town of magical beings and one human cop, Luke. Chloe Hobbs, owner of the Sticks & Strings yarn shop, sorceress-in-training and standing mayor is also eight months pregnant with Luke's child. The pregnancy has left her hormonal and unable to control her magic. Elspeth, the yellow-haired troll who's tasked with seeing Chloe's pregnancy through safely, is driving everyone nuts. The last thing Chloe needs is to have Luke's huge, human family learning of her pregnancy and descending on their small town, but that's exactly what happens.

After giving birth to a baby girl they name Laria, Elspeth starts acting strange. Well, stranger than usual and when Laria develops an unknown illness that their magic isn't able to cure. A set of events is set into motion that puts everyone in danger and leaves Chloe and Luke unsure of whom they can trust.

Spells & Stitches is the fourth book in author Barbara Bretton's Sugar Maple Chronicles. This whimsical, enchanting tale is filled with humorous moments like Chloe hiccupping bubbles, setting her mother-in-laws yarn on fire, spontaneously speaking French, and an episode where stars started shooting out of her ears. It's impossible to read this book without having one burst of uncontrolled laughter, at the very least. There's always something exciting going on in the town of Sugar Maple and there's no exception with this latest release, making each journey to the town a memorable venture. 5 Angels!
