Dex Hunt joined the FBI Para-Ops team for one reason only- to get the chance to kill his grandfather, the werewolf who sent Dex away and inadvertently caused his mother's death. Doctor Jesmina Martin has spent her entire life watching everyone she has ever cared about die. She's made it her life's mission to find a way to prolong life and she thinks she's found the answer in an ancient werewolf prophecy about one who can bestow the gift of immortality to others. The one, she believes, is Dex Hunt. The problem is, Dex knows nothing of the prophecy and has no inclination to help. After one incredible night together, Jesmina sneaks away, confident Dex will never learn of her deception. She never expected the baby she would carry or that Dex would try to find her again. While her heart soars at being with him again, her dishonesty is always in the back of her mind. Has she destroyed the chance for the family she's always wanted before she even has it?

Virna DePaul's Para-Ops series just keeps getting better and better. I love how DePaul has taken the paranormal genre and made it her own, making you question everything you thought you knew about vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters. Truly, there is no end to her creativity.

I have loved every book in this series, but Chosen by Sin is definitely my fave. Of all the characters so far, Dex is the one I was most curious about and DePaul did not disappoint. He was all alpha male, yummy goodness and I adored him. Jesmina was about as sweet and caring as any heroine you will come across and that made all her deceptions a little harder to swallow. Her goals were so noble, but the means she used to realize them were not. She seemingly cared too much while Dex appeared to care too little, and that made them an excellent match for each other. Their chemistry was excellent and the sex was decadent. Readers will love rooting for this couple. A fascinating new species was introduced and more was revealed about background characters that has me chomping at the bit to hear their stories. The next book cannot possibly come soon enough!
