Getting Gabe
Getting Gabe by Amber Kell is the seventh book in the Moon Pack series.

Gabe loves his best friend Faith, but when she asks him to marry her, he knows that it can never happen because he is gay. Gabe is interested in his boss Anthony, but between his scary boyfriend and bodyguards, he knows that it will never be. Gabe knows that there is something different about Anthony, but he can't put his finger on it. Gabe's grandmother told him stories about shape shifters and other fantastic creatures and he figures Anthony probably fits into one of those categories. One night after seeing Faith off, Gabe is attacked by nightmarish creatures who tell him he will become one of them on the next full moon before he loses consciousness. He awakens to find out from Silver, Anthony's mate, that not only do werekins exist, but also he is part shifter himself and on the next full moon, he will shift for the first time. Before Gabe has time to assimilate everything, two of the most beautiful fae, Vien and Viell, arrive looking for Anthony, and Gabe's wolf jumps into the fray, acknowledging them as his mates. Viell and Vien are twin fae who've always known that they were fated to share a mate, but they've never found anyone who wanted both of them equally. The twins were sent to help find the doctor responsible for creating mutant werewolves, but their need for their mate complicates things. The twins tell Anthony about a master list pertaining to the lineage of all shifters, and if the mutants get a hold of it, they will all be in danger. Will Gabe, Vien and Viell uncover the plot before the mutants strike again?

I was fascinated by the similarities and differences between Vien and Viell. Being a twin myself, I understand how they feel when people treat them as if they are the same person. It was great how Gabe instinctively saw them as two distinct people with different personalities who responded as individuals. It was fantastic to experience their mental telepathy and to see how they reacted when Gabe gained their gift after they became a mated triad. Once again, Anthony came to their rescue, protecting everyone he considers part of his pack. I enjoy reading how each shifter reacts to varying situations, according to how his wolf responds. It's funny when members of the pack need to stake their claim on their mate, when their wolf feels threatened at some of the most inopportune times! The plot thickens as the threat to all of the shifters increases. Will Anthony, Silver, and the rest of the Moon Pack survive?
