Hunting Henry
Hunting Henry by Amber Kell is the eighth book in the Moon Pack series.
Lord Korl has finally found the perfect wolf, Dakota, to test his serum on. Somewhere in his family line there must have been a shifter and if the serum makes him shift, it will be the first step into turning all shifters into mutants, building an army to take over the Fae world. The serum works, but unknown to Korl, Blake, a mutant working for him, frees Dakota and with help, he finds his way to the Moon Pack where he meets Henry, their chef. Henry was badly abused by his old pack's alpha before Silver arrived and freeed them. Henry went Moon Pack and vowed never to shift again. Henry recognizes Dakota as his mate, but he never wanted a mate and Dakota doesn't understand why he is so drawn to Henry. Anthony, Silver's mate, arrives and informs everyone that Dakota is a wolf in human form, to all of their amazement. They are all horrified, because if it's true, it gives the enemy a better chance to obtain the mutant army they need. Can Dakota and Henry find a way to overcome their differences? Will the shifters find a way to stop Korl?
Hunting Henry has so many twists in the plot, keeping me spellbound until the very end. I was horrified by Lord Korl's lack of conscious by being willing to go to any lengths to obtain his goal of controlling the Fae world with Anthony as the figurehead. It must have been terrifying for Dakota to lose his identity as a wolf when he was changed into a human with feelings and emotions that he had no understanding of. As Henry's past was revealed, I began to grasp the level of suffering he endured in his past. It was mesmerizing to read how Dakota and Henry connected on a level they've never felt before. The fight between good and evil is far from over as Silver, Anthony, and their pack fight to uncover the plot before it destroys everything they've fought so hard to build!
