The WASPs
The WASPs by Clancy Nacht and Thursday Euclid is a contemporary homoerotic romance.

Blake and Tyrone have been friends ever since they met at boarding school and when no one else was around, they were always there for each other. Blake has all the money he needs and spends his time in frivolous pursuits, while Tryone works hard as a corporate lawyer. Now, Blake finds his life in a shambles and arrives at Tyrone's apartment for help and consolation. Tyrone has a girl, Sherry, with him, but that doesn't stop him from dropping everything when he finds his Blakey soaked to the skin and heartsick. To say that Sherry is displeased is an understatement, especially when Tyrone offers Blake his own bed to warm him up, leaving her out in the cold. Blake tells Tyrone about being kicked out by his wife, disinherited, and worst of all, not getting to see Bitsy, his little girl. Blake and his wife Daisy are both gay, and have done well raising their daughter together as friends, until today. Tyrone opens his home, giving Blake his own room, clothing, and thank god, the credit cards he has ready in case anything like this ever happened. Blake has always loved Tyrone and being this close to him may be more difficult than he imagined. Being a good friend is one thing, but could there be more to Tyrone's feelings than Blake ever imagined? Will Blake get his chance at the love he always wanted?

At first glance, Blake appears to be a shallow, flighty man that only lives to shop and spend money, but as his past is revealed, there is more to his behavior than meets the eye. Bitsy is a precocious and lively child who brings laughter and love to everyone she meets. It was funny reading how she manipulated Blake to get what she wanted in typical toddler fashion. Tyrone's overwhelming need to take care of Blake above all else, and their cuddling was much more than most friends, even close ones, and makes the reader question his feelings from the start. But it was hysterical to experience it! The friendship and love between Tyrone and Blake was wonderful to read, as they were willing to go to any lengths to protect each other. Blake's father and his condescending, mean manner towards Blake and Tyrone was terrible, but not everything is what it seems. The twists and turns in this story kept me guessing about each character's motives until they were revealed.
