Undone Dom
Undone Dom is the second book in the Undone Lovers series.

Lulu's friend, Addie, was asked to do some fetish photography for three BDSM Dominants. Since meeting Alton, one of the Masters, Lulu has hoped he'd make good on his promise to return to her shop. A few weeks later, when he does return, she takes him up on the offer to be trained as a submissive. She's curious about the BDSM lifestyle, even though recognizing that some of the more obsequious behavior she's seen in other slaves is nothing like her. The sex is fabulous and the kink is intriguing but Lulu has her sights on the man, not the Master.

Alton has always kept his submissives at a distance. Whether he is correcting another man's slave or has a slave of his own, keeping them at an emotional arm's length is his way of keeping his heart intact. That's worked so far...until Lulu. When she wants more than the Master, but the full package as well, will he be able to remove his cool exterior or will he lose her forever?

This story showcases Alton as the epitome of a gruff, emotionally distant Master in the same way one might stereotype a female Dominant/Domme as the harsh, sadistic witch. Alton fits his role initially. Yet, in the midst of Lulu's somewhat unintentional influence, the ice that's seemingly around Alton's heart begins to thaw and he realizes that perhaps Alton the man deserves his own chance. Lulu remains curious about BDSM but has the self-intuition to recognize she's not cut out for the 24/7 slave role. While this couple had their HEA at the end of the story, I did find myself wondering just how this lifestyle Master-a man who had an almost full-time hobby in the local BDSM community-and part-time submissive would find that compromise that satisfied each person. As this story is part of a series, perhaps the author will be showing the reader the rest of the story, so to speak, as the series progresses.
