Caleb Locke has been around for about 500 years. It takes a lot to get him excited, but Ren Soto has done it. She's not afraid of him, and that, in itself, is something. Caleb knows there's something different about her and he finds that very intriguing.

Ren 's sister is missing. The last person she was seen with was a vampire by the name of Caleb Locke and Ren intends to find out what he's done to her. Ren brings Caleb home, seduces him, and plans to kill him after some very hot sex, but when he tells her that he had nothing to do with her sister's disappearance, she believes him.

Caleb decides to help Ren find her sister and knows they will face a bloody battle to get her back. The enemies they are facing are very powerful, so with the help of Caleb's friends, the battle starts and Caleb gets to see Ren unleash her powers.

This book was too short for me. There just wasn't enough build up. You read the first few pages and you're already to the climax. You know what's going to happen before it happens. Into the Darkness was ok, but not specular. It left me feeling like everything that Ren and Caleb might go on to accomplish had already been done. I think that too much was told in the beginning of the story and the ending was a little lacking.
