Shadow of Deceit
Trouble is what comes to mind when Tony Crazaniak finds Shannon Riedel. As an FBI agent, he is sworn to protect and find out the truth. Yet, every time he tries to get the truth out of Shannon, she says she knows nothing about her ex-husbands life. Everybody knows him as a workaholic, but something about Shannon is making him realize that he is also a man with needs. The sexual attraction is there, but he is determined to reveal her real identity. He knows that she is hiding something about her husband and that she is wrong for him in every matter. Can he figure her out before the real people that want her come to hunt her down?

Shannon Riedel has no idea why someone wants her for answers to her dead husband's past life and has no idea why they think she knows them. The one person she hates the most is still giving her trouble, even from beyond the grave. Yet, Tony Crazaniak is one man who is determined to see her in jail no matter how much sexual attraction there is between them. She knows she is innocent, but the people that dealt with her ex now want her to pay up. Can she figure out what they want before it's too late?

Tony and Shannon are two people who want one thing, to get on with their lives. Yet, throughout the book, I felt there was supposed to be more between them, but sadly, Mal Olson didn't deliver in this aspect. I mean the story line was okay, but it didn't quite grab my attention between these two. Tony seemed so into his job of getting the truth out of Shannon that it lacked the real romance between them. The action was okay, but I wanted to see more action between Shannon and Riedel instead of the bad people.
