Taking it Back
Nami is in Las Vegas for a work seminar with coworkers she really doesn't care for. When a sexual rendezvous with a coworker turns out disastrous, she walked in on him in bed with another coworker, and learning it was a planned joke at her expense, she retreats to the hotel bar to drown herself in alcohol. At the bar, a gentleman comes on to her and not being in the mood, she snaps at him, but quickly finds the man intriguing, enough to bring her out of her self-wallowing to just give him a chance.

Kosuke is a tentacle shapeshifter who needs to find a cure for what ails him. His attraction to Nami surprises him because she is not scared of his true nature and worries him because he does not know why he cannot control his arousal around her. After a weekend full of hot, sticky and steamy lovemaking, they part ways and return home. Kosuke needs to speak with his father for answers to what is happening. When Kosuke comes to claim Nami, he interrupts a fellow shapeshifter also attempting to claim her. Is he too late? Has his hesitation cost him the only female who can arouse him?

I found this story interesting, in that love is the universal language between all species. I like reading how love is handled in the paranormal realm. This story demonstrated that although we may be of different species, the dynamics of loving someone and making love are basically the same. The couple in the story found true love when they clearly weren't looking for it. The sexual scenes are very intense and very vivid. The attentiveness and giving nature of the hero is most erotic. This was an experience that "Sin City" couldn't keep.
