Laura Holden gets a surprise visit from her son that he's getting married... and his fianceč's father is also in town, so wouldn't it be great to meet? Laura's co-owner of a small used book shop and her soon-to-be daughter-in-law's father, Blake Conover, is a writer and literature professor, but while he writes and reads the classics, she's got her nose in erotic romances, especially those of a BDSM nature.

When Blake and Laura meet, sparks fly, and soon he's showing her a world she's only read about in the fiction she devours. Blake's ex-wife left him for a Dom a long time ago and he swore he'd never be considered boring in bed again, so he's spent a long time cultivating his knowledge of kink. While Blake takes her on a whirlwind ride, both admit to never having known as much adventure and fun as when they're together. But do they have it within themselves to see in each other the other half they've been missing?

This was a tremendously fun and sexy read. Both are in their 40s, and are fully up for recharging their sexual batteries with each other. Their one-upmanship sexual exploits are laugh out loud hilarious and I have to admit to reading this story in one sitting. I have not read this author before, but after reading Dark Side Night, I can wholeheartedly attest that I will be reading her future works.
