Mark is a bartender where a local Domme group meets. He doesn't submit to many because while he may consider himself a submissive, he's certainly not sub to every woman. There is one Domme that inspires him, Olivia, but she doesn't usually give him the time of day-until today.

Olivia calls him over to begin what seems to be an interview then invites him back to her room. He accepts the invitation and realizes that maybe, just maybe, his attraction to her might be reciprocated.

I don't usually prefer stories where the dynamic is Fem Domme/male sub. However, as it was a short story, I opted to give Obeying Olivia a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how while the author presented Olivia as stern, she wasn't the -over-the-top witch some feel female dominants should be portrayed. The chemistry between this couple was magnetic, and it was clear that each was feeding off the energy of the other, making the story believable. While this is a rather short story, it did give me an inkling of the author's writing style. It was concise and crisp, and after reading Obeying Olivia, I certainly wish to give Ms. Dare's other stories a go.
