Everything You've Got
Dr. Kat Dayton is tired of waiting. For months, she has stood aside as a friend and yearned for Luke Hamilton. Every time she thinks she's made a big step, he does something stupid and treats her like a friend again. It's up to Kat to move things past the friendship stage. This might be a downfall in their relationship, but she knows Luke is the man for her. Kat has tried to be the perfect woman for him, but knows that Luke is still hung up on the past. One kiss is all that has made her continue this charade of friendship, and now she is determined to get her man, no matter the consequences. This is going to be a birthday that Luke will never forget and one that will change her life.

It was one kiss, but a kiss that has never left his memory. A kiss Luke Hamilton knows will happen again tonight, no matter what he has to do. Knowing that Kat Dayton is interested in him just proves the attraction he has felt for months is not one-sided. What confuses him though, is why she hasn't made her move until now? As friends go, Kat is the best friend for him, but he wants more than friendship from her. He knows that she is the perfect woman for him, but convincing her that she is perfect the way she is now, is going to be hard work. As birthdays go, Luke knows for a fact that this is one wish that he will definitely get. Can he convince Kat that she has everything that she's wished for and possibly more?

Erin Nicholas has done it again with Everything You've Got and in a way that makes you root for Kat. Normally, when I start reading a book by Erin Nicholas, I'm already prepared for the passion that will arise in her books, but once again, Erin Nicholas shows otherwise. There is definitely passion and sex yet, there is also a true bond between Luke and Kat. I felt for Kat, the woman in the background, waiting for her chance with the man she's dreamed of since forever. Luke is like any typical man, but it takes a strong woman like Kat to make him see that he could be more than just the neighborhood golden boy. Everything You've Got by Erin Nicholas is highly recommended, for if the handcuffs don't get you, then the always-good owner of Camelot bar will tempt you with his good looks and sexy charm. Loved it.
