Eternal Captive
Mark of the Vampire 3
The Eternal Order may have cursed Lucian Roman with the gene that will cause him to one day be the Breeding Male to the vampire race, but that day was nearly two centuries off. And then, a major wrench was thrown in the works when the temptation that is Bronwyn Kettler entered his life and needed his blood, thus causing the Breeding Male genetics to be activated. Now, Lucian is completely obsessed, wanting Bronwyn until he can no longer sleep or think straight. But, Bronwyn is soon to be wed to her true mate and the knowledge of this is driving Lucian crazy- literally. He knows he should keep away; however, knowing and doing are two completely different things and when Bron is abducted from her mating ceremony, staying away is no longer an option. Lucian will move Heaven and Earth to get her back, and when he does, he's never letting her go again.
All her life, Bronwyn has feared being given to the Breeding Male, so it must be some great cosmic joke that she desires Lucian Roman above all others- including her own mate. However, she is determined to keep her distance and resist the lure of him, but when she is kidnapped by a traitor to The Order; it is Lucian who comes for her. All alone with him, Bron can no longer remember all the reasons they cannot be together, and more importantly, she no longer wants to.
Laura Wright has me completely hooked on her Mark of the Vampire series. I have loved every book, but I have to say, Eternal Captive is my favorite to date. Bronwyn and Lucian rock! I swear, no couple could possibly have had more obstacles to overcome than those two and no sane reader will be able to do anything but root for their happily ever after.
When Bronwyn first appeared in Eternal Hunger (book one) as the would-be-other-woman, I had no idea she would grow to be this strong, courageous woman or that I would love her so much. But, she was and I did. As for Lucian? That boy was a hot mess! He was also sexy as all get out and seductive beyond imagining. The chemistry between these two was so insanely hot that readers are going to want a cold shower after reading. Wright also gave more information on background characters that had me chomping at the bit for book four before I even finished book three. If you haven't checked out this series, do yourself a favor and do it. You will thank me for it!
